This is the latest rankings of these Airports. The main criteria is Total number of passengers that traveled through a particular airport in a year. So here it goes:

10. Hong Kong International Airport:
Located in island of Chep Lap Kok, Hong Kong International airport is the main airport of Hong Kong. It is one of the Busiest and Largest airports of Asia. Total number of passengers who travel through it – in one year, is 63,148,379.
9. Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport:
Largest Hub for American Airlines, Dallas-Fort Airport is situated in US state of Texas. Having a total area of more than 78 Km², it is the largest and second-largest airport of Texas and United States respectively. Total number of passengers travelling through it, is 63,523,489.
8. Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport:
Also known as Roissy Airport, Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport is France’s Largest Airport. It is named after France’s former President Charles de Gaulle. 63,808,796 is the number of passengers handled by it, last year. Making it the Second-busiest airport in the Europe, after London’s Heathrow Airport.
7. O’Hare International Airport:
Simply Known as O’Hare Airport, it is the main airport of Chicago area, with Midway Airport being a secondary one. Until 1998, it was the busiest airport in the World. Even today, it is third-busiest airport in the World. Last year, it handled 70,015,746 passengers.

Dubai International Airport is the busiest Airport in the World – if you only consider International flights. Also, it is sixth-busiest Cargo Airport of the World. Apart from 2.37 million tonnes of Cargo, it handled 70,475,636 passengers last year.

Los Angeles International Airport is the primary airport for Greater Los Angeles area. It is one of the few U.S. airports with four parallel lanes. Last year, 70,665,472 passengers traveled through this airport.

Commonly known as Haneda Airport, it is one of the two primary airports that serve the Greater Tokyo Area, the other one is Narita International Airport. With 72,826,862 passengers handled last year, it is Asia’s Second-busiest Airport.
3. London Heathrow Airport:
Apart from being Busiest Airport in UK, it is also the Busiest Airport in Europe. Having two parallel runways and five terminals, it handled 73,408,442 passengers last year.
2. Beijing Capital International Airport:
Being the Busiest Airport of Asia, Beijing International Airport is the primary Airport serving Beijing. 86,130,390 passengers traveled through this airport last year. Apart from this, it is also 13th-busiest Airport in the World – in terms of Cargo.
1. Hartsfield – Jackson Atlanta International Airport:
Also known as Atlanta Airport or Hartsfield, Hartsfield-Jackson Airport is the Busiest Airport in the World. In fact, it has been on this position since 1998. Last year, it handled 96,178,899 passengers.
